The Child Welfare Committee (CWC) has the same legal powers as a First Class Magistrate. They follow the rules in the Criminal Procedure Code when dealing with cases.

💡 Real Life Example

If a child needs protection, the CWC can order the police to investigate, just like a Magistrate can.

🛡️ KNOW YOUR RIGHTS
  • You have the right to be heard by the CWC.
  • You have the right to legal representation.
  • The CWC must act in the child's best interest.
