🗣️ Simple Explanation

Generally, an agreement needs something of value (consideration) to be valid. However, there are exceptions. If it's written and due to love between family, or if someone promises to pay for a past voluntary act, or to pay a debt that's too old to be legally enforced, it can still be valid.

💡 Real Life Example

A promises to give his son B ₹10,000 because of natural love and affection. This agreement is valid because it's in writing and based on love.

🛡️ KNOW YOUR RIGHTS
  • You have the right to know if an agreement is legally binding.
  • Agreements based on love and affection between family members are often valid.
